In what might be considered 'uncharitable' fashion, the Chevron Gaitors captured first place in Corporate Cup Division II at the annual
Delchamps Charity Run. The 10K race was run in downtown Mobile Alabama on November 4th. Guy Truett's run time of 38:08 translated into a second place finish in division
II scoring. Paul Wetterer took third with a time of 38:52, and Mary Flood captured sixth with a 43:58 finish. Chevron team score for the run was 11 points followed by Litton with 25 and Zeneca with 29.

Filling out the remaining scoring positions for team Chevron were Ron Goodwin (43:12), Matt Parry (44:54), and Cameron McCord (43:11). Special congratulations to Ron Goodwin and Mary Flood for bettering last years Charity Run times by
11:02 and 6:23 respectively. Such improvement only comes from commitment and hard
effort.

The most important aspect of the Corporate Cup challenge is participation. A total of 16 Chevron runners took part in the 10k event. That is tops for all corporate teams at the Charity Run and puts Chevron at the top of the year to date participation count. Note, there is not any distictive recognition given for participation. At least not yet....

Other Chevron runners taking part in the run where Kenny Lett, Annette Ham, Larry (David) Johnson, Rick Grubb, John Warner, Mike Cook, and John Jay. Also the Walley clan, James, Kathy, and James Jr. (Sorry James,
doesn't look like you beat Ms. Kathy this time.)
